Through Russian Eyes

Through Russian Eyes

Since it appears, that the Serbs have settled down again for the time being, I feel it is time to look at Russia and Putin and as they may see themselves. Russia (and Putin), see the world as themselves being surrounded by potential enemies. This is also a deeply rooted belief (an emotional reality if you would), grounded in solid, historical facts. The Ukraine is a large, fairly powerful state on it’s border, which has a historical grievance with Russia. Having rampant Islam and other assorted nationalities festering on its borders. They see the entity that was NATO in their back, front and side yards and a United Germany as powerful as it has ever been, one cannot help but thinking, they would be wondering what’s up? Then, you factor in China, who took the (untried by Russia) New Economic Plan (practically, exactly as Lenin intended) to quite quickly become the 2nd largest GNP in the world. They (the Russians) almost have to be asking themselves “What did we do wrong”? In their minds, they have to be thinking that”Democracy on a Multi party lines was an absolute disaster, and that strong , one party centralized reforms along more Leninist (or Chinese) lines looks much better? Thankfully, they let the Serbian pot simmer down for now, but seeing the world though Russian Eyes cannot hurt.

Not KGB eyes, Look again its Peter the Great, not that it matters much?

Having all the money in the Bank of Hong Kong for investment purposes wouldn’t hurt either.
