Round Barns
In the early days of the 20th century, two brothers worked on the properties that were began by their father near Bargersville Indiana, my mother was born in the Farmhouse on one side of the road, Guy Clore’s farm, and the other brother, Chester Clore owned the Round barn shown in the above and left photos on the other side of the road.

This is the barn as it stood on the farm on Plymouth-Goshen Trail near Bremen in Marshall County, IN. It was built by Phillip Launderman of Bremen for Fred Aker Sr., farm owner. In 1991, the owners, Bernie and Shelly Schrone, donated the round barn to Amish Acres. Thanks to Shirley Willard of the Fulton County Historical Society.

Just wanted to let you know I enjoyed your round barns…my favourite being the Haimbaugh barn. I have been to many of them, very picturesque. Google found me today and in trying to find myself…I found this page…thanks for posting these.

Great picture that was my Great grandfathers barn and was looking for a location and am glad I found it , my kids will be impressed.
I’m Guy Clore’s Grandson, My mother was Chester’s Niece and I used to go visit Chester until he moved to Maryland upon retiring. So we are related??.
